Twitter removed the blue verified batches of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni😳

Twitter suddenly removed the Blue Ticks given to some celebrities and organizations at midnight on April 20. It has many celebrities and when it comes to Indian cricket circles, it also includes the legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar, former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, current captain Rohit Sharma and star batsman Virat Kohli. The sudden disappearance of the blue ticks of these four veterans from social media has shocked everyone.

Twitter has now also laid out rules for what to do with blue ticks. “Verified Organizations is a new way for organizations and their affiliates to differentiate themselves on Twitter. Instead of relying on Twitter for verified accounts to be verified, those signing up for Verified Organizations will be able to independently inspect and verify the accounts they are affiliated with. Accounts affiliated with an organization will receive an affiliate badge with the organization’s logo on their profile and will be featured on the organization’s Twitter profile, indicating their affiliation. All organizations are vetted before joining verified organizations,”

A host of current and former Team India superstars including captain Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Mahendra Singh Dhoni lost their verification ticks on leading social media platform Twitter on Thursday. The platform had begun the process to remove ‘legacy verified ticks’ from Twitter accounts since Elon Musk took over the company last year. Under Musk’s management, Twitter came up with its paid subscription ‘Twitter Blue’, which requires the user to pay a monthly-subscription fees for the verified ticks.

Surya Kumar Yadav also lost her blue tick from twitter.
